2023 Summer Classes

Summer is a great time for kids to dance! Our summer classes offer a chance to learn and progress free from school-year pressures…building personal growth, confidence, and poise. It’s a great opportunity for students to improve their technique and explore their potential while becoming a part of Omaha’s most exciting dance training program!

For the convenience of parents, we are offering both daytime and evening classes for many of our summer classes. We hope that makes it possible for everyone to have a great learning experience through the summer.

Boppin Babies • Ages 11 mo. thru 24 mo.

Tuesday/Thursday Daytime June 6 - 29 (8 classes)

This wonderful and creative movement class enhances parent/child relationships while giving a supportive exploration into the world of movement and music. The class encourages individual learning and the development of motor and social skills. (Parent or Caretaker participation mandatory)

Young Childrens’ Ballet & Tap • Ages 3 thru 6

Wednesday evenings, June 7 - July 27

Energetic introduction to ballet and tap through music, rhythm, improvisation and group interaction.

5pm - 5:50pm Ballet & Tap for 3 & 4 year olds - Register

6pm - 6:50pm Ballet & Tap for 5 & 6 year olds - Register

Childrens’ Evening Ballet • Ages 7 thru 12

Tuesday/Thursday evenings, June 6 - July 27

Children will be taught the proper ballet vocabulary along with the continued progression of developing gross motor skills, balance, coordination & strength.

5pm-6:15pm Ballet for children 7 to 9 year olds - Register

6:15pm-7:30pm Ballet for children 9 years old and up - Register

Children's Evening Leaps & Turns • Ages 6 thru 12

Tuesday evenings, June 6 - July 25

Children will be taught the proper technique for a variety of leaps & turns used in Contemporary & Jazz dance.

5pm - 6:15pm Leaps & Turns for children 9 years old and up - Register

6:15pm - 7:15pm Leaps & Turns 6 to 9 years old - Register

Jazz & Contemporary • Ages 6 thru teens

Wed evenings, June 7 - July 26

This high energy evening class teaches and polishes the elements needed for

great jazz technique. With fun combinations and great music…this class can’t

be beat!

5pm-6pm Jazz for 6 to 9 year olds - Register

6pm - 7pm Jazz & Contemporary for ages 9 and up - Register

7pm - 8pm Jazz and Contemporary for Teens - Register

8pm - 9pm Leaps & Turns for Teens - Register

Daytime Classes

Mon thru Thurs, June 5 thru 28

Group A & B Level Classes

(placement pending - Level V, IV & some III)

Students will delight in these ballet classes with lots of time to fly accross the

room! They can then hone their skills with pointe, classical traditional variations

and partnering.

9am - 11am Ballet

11:15 am - 12pm Pointe, Variations, Partnering & Stretch and Conditioning

Special Additional Classes • June 5 thru 28

Character is a representation of folk or national dances and modern dance challenges the more structured dance technique of ballet. These two stylized dance forms are important as they are constantly blended into both the traditional ballets of the past and more contemporary works.

These daytime classes challenge students to develope their technique and learn more complex combinations and steps.
